$75,000 Fundraising Campaign for the Economic Impact Analysis
WE NEED YOUR HELP: THE MANRESA ASSOCIATION MUST RAISE $75,000 IN PLEDGES BEFORE THE ANALYSIS CAN BEGIN.
FAQ’s on the Economic Impact Analysis:
What is it? An in-depth analysis that will provide metrics (jobs, taxes, infrastructure costs, etc.) on five different potential options for the 125 acre Manresa Property. The options will range from residential and mixed use developments to parkland.
Who is overseeing the Economic Impact Analysis? The City of Norwalk and the Manresa Association have formed a public/private partnership to conduct the Analysis.
When? Pending fundraising success, a supplier will be selected by December, 2016 and the Analysis will be completed by mid 2017.
Why is the Manresa Association partnering with the City of Norwalk in funding 50% of the cost?
Urgency: Citizen involvement will ensure a sense of urgency. (We don’t want the property to sit abandoned for thirty years like the Cos Cob power plant)
Oversight: Citizen involvement will ensure oversight of the Analysis.
